AADAS

A.D.A.A.S – Assosiació d’Asisstència a Dones Agredides Sexualment – is a non-profit Association which offers a complete free, highly specialized service to victims of sexual violence in Catalunya, Spain, whether they are adults, teenagers or children.

This initiative for women who had suffered sexual aggression was started in 1982 by a group of women who themselves had been victims directly or indirectly of sexual aggression, aided by professionals donating their skills for free.

From this initiative, the association A.A.D.A.S (part of FAMUVI-Stop Violencia sexual) was formed in 1991 to give immediate help, support and practical assistance (both informative, legal and psychological) to anyone who had suffered sexual violence.

A.A.D.A.S also runs programmes and organizes workshops to raise awareness and social conscience in the hope to ultimately eradicate sexual violence.
