Hot Chili Chicas

Hot Chili Chicas are the girls behind the creation of this webiste ¨Driving Force Rocks¨: Karen Holladay, Julie Stephenson and Julia Fossi who came together in 2018 with another Hot Chili Chica, Sharlene Halbert, to participate in the Put Foot Rally that year.

This Barcelona-based all-women crew drove 19,000 kilometers in 19 days from Cape Town, South Africa to Inhambane, Mozambique to raise money for the Put foot Foundation and the association ADAAS (see below) in Barcelona. Through a series of fundraising events in Barcelona, they raised €17,000 and won the award for the crew raising the most for the Put Foot Foundation in 2018.

The inspiration behind DrivingForce sprung from the realization that not enough is being down to create positive change by governments and politicians yet so much is being done by individuals wanting to make a difference and give more of what they can to those who have less and are in more difficult circumstances than themselves.

Yet although we as individuals can and DO make a difference, how much better if we can interact, support and promote each other? So many people would like to give back but don’t know how to and so many small projects don’t know how to find those people who wish to participate in them.

So having being involved in various such grassroots projects, the idea of DrivingForce was born – with the aim to create a platform for small grassroots organizations with little or no funding and no huge overheads or administration costs, to be connected with each other and better promoted to anyone who would like to give back in the way that resonates most for them.
